The Hope for Japan is a coat designed specifically for the Hope for Japan charity event. A double-breasted trench coat with a belt, all of these coats are made by a Sanyo factory in Aomori prefecture in Japan. Aomori was affected by the earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011. Sanyo has donated 100% of the proceeds to the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund as of 1/11/12. Made from 100% silk, the Hope for Japan coat is a lightweight coat with all the details of a classic trench coat. The epaulets on the shoulders held by buttons and the single gunflap on the right shoulder fits the image of a formal, elegant trench.
An embroidery in Japanese is stitched with the symbol of 希望 or "hope" on the inside of the coat. Available in black.
