After our long established popularity of our water-resistant micro fiber coat, Sanyo has developed a hybrid between our rainwear and our wool overcoats. Rain-Resistant Micro Wool is a Super Fine Merino wool that has been treated with water-repellency despite its naturally water-repellent capabilities. This Rain-Resistant Micro Wool combines the warmth and feel of Merino wool, with the durability and water-resistant properties of Microfiber. There is no need for a thick waterproof backing or coating that makes the wool coarse to protect it against rain. This new innovative fabric makes your overcoat a raincoat!

Sanyo’s double-layered construction also comes into play in water-resistance. By using high density microfiber that is typically used as an exterior shell for the interior construction, it not only keeps rain out, but maintains a comfortable fit for the wearer from shoulder to wrist. The interior microfabric achieves three objectives: (a) comfortable fit, (b) shape retention, and (c) waterproofed interior.

Thus, our new, innovative Super Fine Merino Wool Fabric now goes by the name Rain Resistant Micro Wool tm.
