Caring for your Sanyo Coat

Dear valued customers,
Sanyo coats are made to last. With the proper care, they can last even longer. Take immediate steps to care for your coat, so that its quality stays as good as new for a long time.

1. WHEN YOUR COAT IS LINTY..
Use a LINT BRUSH, not an adhesive lint roller. An adhesive lint roller may damage the surface of the coat instead of getting rid of the lint.

2. WHEN CLEANING YOUR COAT..
ONLY DRY CLEAN to avoid discoloration or other damages to your coats. Sanyo coats are meant to last, so you only need to clean your coats ONCE EVERY 2-3 YEARS. Dry cleaning may decrease water resistance.

3. WHEN YOUR COAT GETS STAINED..
Spot clean the stain yourself. For these coats, the use of steam will do the trick. Not all coats do well with steam irons to get the stain out, so be open to other options as well. If your coat gets cleaned frequently, it may end up getting damaged.

4. STORING YOUR COAT..
Avoid using cheap plastic or dry cleaners' garment bags. These do not allow the garment to breathe and may cause humidity, causing mold and mildew to form. Look into natural cotton garment bags, which may be found in The Container Store. Bags that fit single or multiple coats are safe to use.

5. HANGING YOUR COAT..

Use proper coat hangers, specifically sturdy hangers that are wider and slightly curved forward as they get closer to the shoulder. Since they need to carry significant weight, wire and plastic hangers are bad choices.

6. BEFORE STORING FOR THE WARM MONTHS..

Make sure your coats are vacuum cleaned before they head into storage to clean food and other particles that may be left behind to avoid insect damage.
